Whether you are presently looking for work, wondering if you will be looking for a new position in the future, or have the working blues, the messages you are giving yourself on a daily basis have a profound impact on you. It could be the difference between staying strong and focused vs. unproductive and uninspired.

How are you the handling the uncertainty in your career? Are you helping yourself by reading articles in the newspaper that portray how bad the economy is performing, or articles written about the people who were told there was no way they could excel in their careers, and they succeeded anyway?

What you read, watch on TV, or whom you spend your time with has an effect on your outlook. It can be as extreme as having what you want in your career now or someday if you are lucky.

THE WEEKLY ACTION CHALLENGE

Your challenge this week is to keep upbeat.

First, start by getting a book, movie, or audiotape about someone you admire. I am sure that they were able to accomplish things in their lives that others said were impossible to achieve. Second, tell yourself that you can do the same. Third, write down what they did to reach their goals. This will keep their story alive in your own life. Finally, get ready to be amazed, as you are able to achieve some pretty great things too.

So what do you say? You only have one life to live so it might as well be a life you love.

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
