Last week's tip was about facing yourself. This week, we will focus on
liking yourself.
In many cases, we don't face ourselves because we don't like what we see.
When we are alone, we think about past mistakes and regrets. Then, our guilt
takes over.
If you do not like yourself, no one will. Materials things and outside
diversions may distract you. But, only for a while.
THE WEEKLY ACTION CHALLENGE
This week's challenge is to like yourself.
During the next seven days, if you have a negative thought, tell yourself
"Thank you for sharing." Or, "What I am saying to myself is untrue." Focus
on something positive; a happy memory or past accomplishment that you are
proud of. Your goal is to feel better, and have that feeling come from you.
Sure chocolate, caffeine, alcohol, TV, etc., can also take away that
negative thought. But why depend on outside things when you already have
you.
So what do you say? You only have one life to live so it might as well be a
life you love.
