Do you have trouble sitting still? Do you need constant noise around you?
Are you uncomfortable with silence?
Being uncomfortable with silence is normal. We are used to so much stimuli
around us that when we don't have it, we look for something to replace it.
Silence means you are left alone with you. At times, it's hard to be
with ourselves. But if there are aspects of your career that you are
avoiding or hoping will go away on their own, maybe it's time to face them
so they can finally can disappear.
THE WEEKLY ACTION CHALLENGE
This week, use a moment of silence to take a look at yourself and your
career. Are you uncomfortable with the silence? If so, what have you been
resisting? Your challenge is to face yourself and whatever is standing in
your way.
Give yourself the opportunity to discover that you can handle whatever comes
your way. Difficulties in your career disappear when you face them head on.
So what do you say? You only have one life to live so it might as well
be a life you love.
