MORNING ACTION TIP #80 |
E-WEEKLY TIP #79 |
Are you excited about projects in the beginning, but over time your excitement fades? Do you start strong, but finish weak?
The beginning of something new can be exciting. A new job, a
new relationship, or a new idea. All are filled with unlimited
possibilities. What’s not so exciting is the day-to-day, because the
day-to-day takes hard work and patience. And most of us don’t like hard
work and patience.
But, if you find that you are dragging yourself through a
project, or are feeling overwhelmed, it could be that you stopped
working on your “something new” and it’s time to finish what you
started.
Pick one unfinished project from your to-do list. Your challenge this week is to finish it. You may not feel like getting back into it initially, but you will feel better once the project is done.
Finishing a project is not always easy. Responsibilities and unexpected
events can get in the way. Remember the saying, “out with the old, in with
the new.” Finishing brings closure and closure frees you up to go onto
something new.
So what do you say? You only have one life to live so it might as well be a life you love.
