Have you been keeping your New Year resolutions?

New Year resolutions? You may be wondering "Why I am being asked about this now?" You may be thinking "I still have all year to complete my resolution!"

At the beginning of each year, we are hyped up. We have enjoyed the holiday season, and we are ready to focus on our careers again. We make resolutions. Some we keep, others we don't, but usually we do not evaluate our progress until the following January.

Why wait for another seven months to see how you are doing?

THE WEEKLY ACTION CHALLENGE

Your challenge this week is to renew your commitment to your New Year resolutions.

Revisit your resolution and write down why it was important to you in January. Is it still important to you today? Have you been working toward your goal? If you are not satisfied with your progress, then write down all of the obstacles that have been standing in your way. Then, accept the obstacles and work through them.

When you first made your resolution in January, you may have been caught up in the moment. Everybody else was making resolutions, so you made one too. At the time, your resolution was exciting and it seemed obtainable. Now it is May, the excitement has worn off, and the resolution may be getting dusty.

May is the perfect time to renew your resolution. You still have time to get back on track.

So, what do you say? You only have one life to live, so it might as well be a life you love!
