Last week, I challenged you to make a decision in your career.

A decision can give you focus, clarity, and purpose, which are key ingredients to making your career goals a reality. Making a decision was step one. Committing to your decision is step two.

Do you shy away from making a commitment because you are afraid you will be stuck once you've made it? Do you believe there is freedom in not committing because all of your options will remain open? The upside is you get to play it safe. The downside is you have a career that is unfulfilling.

"What happens if I make the wrong move?" This question can stop you before you even begin. The answer is simple, if you make the wrong move, you'll move on. The time invested will not be wasted. You will adjust, and use what you learned to put yourself on a path that will get you closer to reaching your goals.

THE WEEKLY ACTION CHALLENGE

This week's challenge is simple; make a commitment to the decision you made last week. List the steps you need to take, and start taking them.

It does not matter if you have kept your commitments in the past. What matters is you are a person who will keep them from this point going forward.

So, what do you say? You only have one life to live, so it might as well be a life you love!
