MONDAY MORNING ACTION TIP #62 |
Previous E-Weekly Tips: |
Are you enjoying your career or focusing on the frustrations?
In today's world, with war around us, we could easily get caught up in what's not working. Frustration leads to complaining and complaining leads to stagnation. I am not suggesting that you ignore what is going on around you. But, to recognize whether your frustrations are moving you forward or getting in your way.
THE WEEKLY ACTION CHALLENGE
Your challenge this week is to cherish what you have.
Write down three things in your career for which you are grateful. Post your list prominently on your desk and read it every morning before your begin your day. If you need extra encouragement, post another copy near your alarm clock and read it every night before you go to bed. You will sleep better and be ready to face the next day. (You can even post a copy of this list near your TV set to remind you of what you are grateful for when you are watching the news.)
You might not be able to change the world, but you can change the way you view your career. You can say "I hate my career" or "I love my career" and your words will make one of these statements come true.
So, what do you say? You only have one life to live, so it might as well be a life you love!
ARE YOU OUT OF WORK OR OVERWORKED?
If you answered YES, then working with a coach may be your best career move.
Many people who have hired me can now say that they are happier in their careers than they ever thought possible.
HERE IS WHAT ONE CLIENT HAD TO SAY:
"I believe every businessperson, whether experiencing current success in their career or going through a transition, should engage the services of a career coach, just like you. Next to my MBA, I cannot think of a better investment in my career." (Greg Marchi, President/Managing Partner, Captus Communications, Great Falls, VA)
