Is there an aspect of your career you would like to change?

Change occurs when we recognize two things. The first is seeing the cost of things remaining the way they are. The second is seeing the payoff of making change happen.

When we only see one and not the other, change doesn't take place. For instance, if you see the cost of not making more money (your bills are piling up), but you do not want to do the work necessary to get a salary increase (the payoff), your financial situation will stay the same. If you see the benefit of being more organized (the payoff), but you do not want to acknowledge how being disorganized is hurting your career (the cost), then your organizational habits and routines will remain intact.

THE WEEKLY ACTION CHALLENGE

Your challenge this week is to tackle change head on.

Write down one thing in your career you would like to change. List the cost(s) of not making the change. Then, list the payoff(s) of tackling the change head on. Now that you have the lists in front of you, what will you do with the information?

Once you tackle change instead of avoiding it, your career will be filled with purpose. Purpose will motivate you to accomplish things you never dreamed possible.

So, what do you say? You only have one life to live, so it might as well be a life you love!

ARE YOU OUT OF WORK OR OVERWORKED?

If you answered YES, then working with a coach may be your best career move.

Many people who have hired me can now say that they are happier in their careers than they ever thought possible.

HERE IS WHAT ONE CLIENT HAD TO SAY:

"Your coaching and encouragement has made me see that I was playing small and diminishing my own accomplishments. My career has taken a dramatic change for the better and I know it's a result of your wisdom, determination, and my commitment to myself." (Mario Diaz, Director, Producer, and Writer, NYC)
