MONDAY MORNING ACTION TIP #60 |
Previous E-Weekly Tips: |
Are you living up to your fullest potential? Are there people around you who are getting what they want in their careers, but you are wondering where to start or which direction to take?
I did not always have a career I loved. I knew what I wanted (my own business) and kept moving towards my goal. Did I make mistakes along the way? Yes. Do I wish I did a few things differently? Without a doubt. But, I never gave up. And, if I did not have an answer, or was unsure what to do next, I stepped up and found someone who could tell me.
THE WEEKLY ACTION CHALLENGE
Your challenge this week is to be bold.
This week, watch what you say to yourself very carefully. Instead of wondering, "What if I am wrong?" Wonder, "What if I am right?" Which question empowers and encourages you to go out and take risks?
You may find yourself slipping back into "I can't help it, this is who I am." Or, "It can't happen for me." Replace these concerns with bolder statements such as "That's who I used to be." And, "I won't settle for less."
Being bold at first may be uncomfortable. What's not uncomfortable in the beginning? Creating a career you love takes courage, and that courage is within you. Why wait for your career to improve someday? Now is the time to take matters into your own hands.
So, what do you say? You only have one life to live, so it might as well be a life you love!
ARE YOU OUT OF WORK OR OVERWORKED?
If you answered YES, then working with a coach may be your best career move.
Many people who have hired me can now say that they are happier in their careers than they ever thought possible.
HERE IS WHAT ONE CLIENT HAD TO SAY:
"I am so happy because I am in control of my career versus being a victim of circumstances." (Lynn Crozier, Vice President of Risk Management, New York, NY)
