Would you like to switch careers or go into business for yourself, but have not done so yet because you want a guarantee that it will work out first?

In life, there are no guarantees. And, if you are waiting for one, you will be waiting a long time. There are many things in life that you do on faith. You get married on faith. You have kids on faith. So why would you think it is different in your career?

THE WEEKLY ACTION CHALLENGE

Your challenge this week is to forget the guarantee and go after what you want.

Write down your career dream. List three obstacles that keep you from having it. Do you have unanswered questions? Go out this week and find your answers. Do you have financial concerns? Put together a budget so you know how much you have and how much you need to get ready for your new career. Do you feel like you are making the leap by yourself? Enlist the help of a family member, friend, or coach to help you.

You don't need an outside guarantee. Listen to yourself. Listen to your heart. This is the only assurance you really need.

So, what do you say? You only have one life to live, so it might as well be a life you love!
