MONDAY MORNING ACTION TIP #34
|
Previous E-Weekly Tips: |
Many people are unable to move forward in their careers because they have unanswered questions. (Most of the time, they are looking for a place to begin.) They become overwhelmed when thinking about the big picture. Because they are overwhelmed, they believe that they will not find the answers they are seeking.
Not knowing what to do next is very common. But, don't be stopped by the uncertainty. You may already know more than you think. You can find the answers to your remaining questions if you know where to look, and you put in the effort.
THE WEEKLY ACTION CHALLENGE
Your challenge this week is to recognize what you already know, and identify what's left to discover.
First, write down a goal in your career. Beneath your goal, create two columns. In the left hand column, list everything you already know to achieve your goal. In the right hand column, list the questions that are standing in your way.
What information do you need specifically to get more information? Is there a web-site you can visit? A phone call you can make? A person you can have lunch with? Pick one of the three (or one of your own) and get your answer.
Don't stop at just one question! Give it some thought, and draw out all of the unknowns that are blocking you. Now, your goal, and all of its obstacles, are tangible. Keep your list with you. Think about it during the week.
So, what do you say? You only have one life to live, so it might as well be a life you love!
HOW DID YOU DO?
If you followed this week's action tip, or it made a difference in your life, I would like to know. Please send your story in an email to info@surpassyourdreams.com
Each week, one lucky individual will win a free copy of my e-book "Living a Life You Love! The Pathway to Personal Freedom" for their contribution.
Last week's winner was Sapna Parikh who wrote in to say:
"Your tip of this week to get inspired stopped my procrastination. I actually striked off a few items from my to-do list, and made more time for my education. This will move me closer to my goal of obtaining my Ph.D. I am happy now from within, because what I am doing feels right. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the help I have received from your weekly tips."
Congratulations to you Sapna!
HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
