Build Yourself Back Up
The workplace, from time to time, can take a serious toll on your self-esteem.
For example, if you are working in an environment that is filled with negativity, it will be harder for you to be positive. If your boss tells you daily that your work is no good, it will be harder for you to believe in your abilities. If you are out of work, it will be harder for you to trust that you have something worthwhile to contribute to the workplace, or more difficult to think why someone would hire you.
The Weekly Action Challenge Your challenge this week is to build yourself back up by letting go of the following:
A bad attitude. It is holding you back.
Painful emotions. It is getting in the way. We’ve all been disappointed sometime in our careers. What you do with that pain is up to you.
Anger. Pent-up anger over past events can inhibit forward progression. If you’re stuck in the past, you can’t move ahead.
Instead, take care of yourself. Spend time with friends and family. Read motivational books. Exercise and eat well. If you want to feel better, you have to be better. So what do you say, you only have one life to live so it might as well be a life you love!
