SURPASS YOUR DREAMS--E-Weekly Action Tips
MONDAY MORNING ACTION TIP #228
REJECTION IS HELPFUL
Even though you may feel invincible when you throw your hat in the air on graduation day, at some point rejection comes creeping in to spoil the party. Rejection happens to all of us. Some people use rejection as motivation to try harder, to fine-tune their efforts. For others, rejection serves as a wake-up call to make them realize it is time for a change.
Rejection is not only inevitable, it is necessary to your progress. When one door closes, another one opens. Without rejection, you may be stuck in the same place for a long time.
The Weekly Action Challenge
Your challenge this week is to understand how influential rejection has been in your career.
Think about the rejection you have experienced in your career. List them. Separate rejection into two categories: those that ultimately had a positive influence on your career, and those that had a negative influence. How has each category impacted you in a beneficial way? When you focus on the benefits that have come from both good and bad experiences, you will realize that you are better off because of them.
So what do you say, you only have one life to live so it might as well be a life you love!
