MONDAY MORNING ACTION TIP #20
|
Previous E-Weekly Tips: |
There may be times when you will wonder if you have what it takes to achieve your ideal career, or if you deserve to have it at all. It is scary venturing out into the unknown to pursue something that you are unsure you can achieve. Fear is a normal part of the process. But if fear is keeping you from having a career you love, then it may be time to get comfortable with being afraid.
If you can accept that sooner or later you will be afraid, then you don't have to spend time worrying about what you will do when fear sets in. Very few people pursue their dreams without some degree of anxiety. It is the struggle that creates and deepens our character. (This is part of the journey that makes success so worthwhile!) Don't cheat yourself by not even starting. You will miss the most important part of being alive.
THE WEEKLY ACTION CHALLENGE
This week's challenge is to list 5 fears that are keeping you from having your ideal career. Now come up with 5 ways you will overcome them.
Every time you move past the normal emotion of fear you make yourself stronger for the next obstacle. So next time you feel a little fear, gather up your courage and move past it, like a warrior in the battle field. Everyone feels fear, it's what you do when you are afraid that matters.
The only way to get past fear is by going through it. There is no other way.
So, what do you say? You only have one life to live, so it might as well be a life you love!
HOW DID YOU DO?
If you followed this week's action tip, or it made a difference in your life, I would like to know. Please send your story in an email to info@surpassyourdreams.com
Each week, one lucky individual will win a free copy of my e-book "Living a Life You Love! The Pathway to Personal Freedom" for their contribution.
This week winner is Aloy Lucky who wrote in to say:
"Thank you all at surpassyourdreams.com. I have been following and enjoying your newsletters and tips. I was specially touched by your tips #16 & #17 - "don't be a Lone Ranger" and "Set a Date". I was reluctant to talk to anybody about my dream - setting up a computer training center and being free from 'task masters' - the reason being that I have spoken to many people before without any positive response. But each time I read those tips, the urge to try again became more pressing until I had no alternative than to try once more and it worked. I have also set a date for my freedom as 30th August 2002 according to your tip.I will also be working towards this goal."
Congratulations to you Aloy!
HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
