MONDAY MORNING ACTION TIP #171

MAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF TODAY

With tight budget these days, you probably have been asked to do more with less. This also means that you are probably spending more time at the office, and less time taking care of yourself.

As a coach, I am seeing tired, overwhelmed, and overworked people who "can't" find time for themselves. They tell me if only they were not so busy, then they would slow down. Even still, they are unsure where to begin.

As important as deadlines are, working all the time can prevent you from living a balanced life. If you do not consciously plan time for yourself, your life can become lopsided as you are more and more entwined in your work.

You may find yourself eating more and exercising less, which will contribute to a decline in your mental and physical well-being. You may find that all you talk about, and think about, is work. You may know that you are not feeling 100%, but you tell yourself that it is the price to pay for getting a salary.

Yes, you need to work. (We all have bills to pay!) But does your job have to take away from your quality of life in the process?

THE WEEKLY ACTION CHALLENGE

What is one thing that you can do to make time for yourself today? Can you take a walk at lunchtime? Can you leave on time? Can you cook a healthy meal tonight? Or, can you go the gym? Your day goes how you say it will go. How will it go today?

So, what do you say? You only have one life to live, so it might as well be a life you love!

Happy Holidays from our family to yours,

Deborah, Brian, and Audrey

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
