Are you having a tough time in your career? Do you think the fault lies with you? (Even though you've been telling others and yourself that it doesn't?)

You can't have power if you have pity. If you are feeling sorry for yourself, then you can't move forward. Pity allows you to be right about what happened to you, but it keeps you stuck and trapped in your present situation. Power allows you to take charge of your career so you can find a solution.

THE WEEKLY ACTION CHALLENGE

Your challenge this week is to get the power back in your career.

Draw a line down a sheet of paper. On the left hand side of the paper, list all the "Poor Me's" regarding your career. List all the reasons, circumstances, and career woes that you have. On the right hand side of the paper, list what you can do to combat each woe. List what action you will take to get your power back. Do something about the first woe on your list today.

I am not saying: "Don't be upset about a difficulty in your career." I am saying to recognize that pity will hold you back and power will inspire you to go after and get what you really want.

So what do you say? You only have one life to live so it might as well be a life you love.

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
