Do you have to much to do during the day? Do you wish you that you had more time? Would you pay money to have another hour in your day?
It does not have to be like this. It is possible to live a life where everything is in balance and everything (including you) is taken care of. You would however, have to look at your life and make changes so it could be that way.
We tell ourselves that being busy is good for us. It builds character. It gives us something to do during the day. (Otherwise, what would we do?) We get a sense of accomplishments from checking items off our to do list. We can relate and fit in with the other busy people in our lives. Having a full schedule gives us something to point to as the reason we are not taking care of ourselves. It's not our fault, really!
We also have a difficult time saying NO. We take on more than our share of responsibility because we believe that we are the only ones who can do things the RIGHT way. We believe that we function better under pressure, so we live our lives this way.
Life is about balance. When you are too busy doing, you have left too little time for you. If you function under constant pressure and stress, sooner or later something will give. You will find that you will have to cut your schedule because you have no choice. How long can you keep eating unhealthy food? How long can you go without exercise? How long will your relationship work without putting in the time necessary to sustain it? I know you may feel like you have no options, but you do.
So what is the alternative to a pressured filled life? You can start by realizing that you are important and deserve time for yourself. Then, you can put actions in place that are consistent with this. You can leave your job at a decent hour because you are confident that the work will get done tomorrow. You will be more productive because you have made room to fuel the other half of your life. Your outlook will improve because there will be something to look forward to. At first it might seem strange, a bit uncomfortable, and maybe even a little irresponsible, but after a while you will wonder how you ever lived another way.
So what do you say? You only have one life to live so it might as well be a life you love!

II. TOP WAYS TO HAVE A LOT MORE TIME IN YOUR PERSONAL LIFE
This list is about having more time and space in your life. The more space you have, the happier you will be.
Simplify.
Have less to do. Adrenaline junkie? Think busy means effective? Afraid to be bored? Boredom is the gatekeeper to peace, so you may have to suffer about this one. First step: Ask a friend to tell you 5 things to immediately simplify your life. They know, even when you don't. Most people's lives are too complicated, and we feel powerless to change. Friends and family can help.
Delegate.
Find others/professionals to do much of what you think that you should be doing. Get prepared food, supplies delivered. Shop via catalog, Web and FedEx. Have all bills go to your bookkeeper who pays them. Stop doing errands. Have someone come in weekly to file, sort and handle the mail/paperwork. Get a housecleaner. Automate all of your personal life and household functions. If you resist delegating, you're a control freak and don't want to have more time and space anyway.
Be Really Selfish.
Do far less of what you don't want to do, to the point of being "badly" selfish. It's a start. Life is too short to do what you should do. Graduate and do only what you most want to do. And yes, you can still be responsible, especially since you'll probably enjoy being responsible when it becomes effortless. First step? Make a list of the 10 things you do during your average week that you do not like to do. Stop doing them for a week and see if the sky falls. It probably won't because you'll improvise and because you're telling the truth by being selfish. When you tell the truth, a solution appears. That's one of the rewards. It's a good system.
Downshift.
Have less to do professionally/career wise. Your work is not as important as you are. Leave the corporate environment. Get someone to run your business for you. Sell your business. Move to a small town. Get into a career/business that lets you work from home or anywhere. Become less important. Give up the daily grind and replace it with projects, favorite activities. Change careers to make money doing what you love, even if it's -- at first -- major drop in pay. If you truly love it, you'll find a way to make more money at it, if you're at all creative and entrepreneurial.
Extend Boundaries.
Say no, even when you can say yes. Stop saying yes. "No" is your best friend. And keep extending boundaries until you have a reserve of time built up. Get comfy with the idea of having reserves of all kinds: time, space, money, love, and energy. But reserves start with extended boundaries, so repeat after me: No, thank you...No, really...No!
Abandon.
Let go of projects, roles or self-imposed obligations that consume you. We're all programmed pretty well to carry out the goals or missed opportunities of our parents. It's just the way it is. Use a coach to help you get in touch with why you do what you do and why you're involved in projects and obligations that make absolutely no sense for you.
Tolerate Nothing.
Stop putting up with anything that bugs you. Deal with the consequences. Yes, this is possible, although you'll lose some friends over this and you may tend to be a bit righteous. It's worth it. Learn how. Apologize later.
Become Problem-Free.
Stop having problems, period. Sure, it's cheating life a bit. I mean a lot. But when you get that most problems are what we create in order to have a guaranteed and consistent source of accomplishment, then you'll realize that it's possible to become a Problem-Free Zone. Really. And I don't mean that you become an ostrich with your head in the sand. You probably can become entirely problem-free. Isn't it worth it to at least check out this possibility?
