I. THE WORLD IS A BETTER PLACE BECAUSE OF YOU
Do you realize that you make a difference in the lives of people around you? Do you know that they are better off because of you?
Each one of us has people in our lives that are grateful we are alive. From us, they learn and grow, and they cant imagine their lives without us. These are the people we thank god for.
How about the people that you dont know you touch?
Think about it. How many people have you seen today? Probably more than you realize.
How about the people you say hello to everyday at the deli counter, the supermarket, the drug store, etc. Your smile and kind words make their day.
How about the people you recommend a magazine to, a TV show or a movie? Your recommendations impact their lives in a positive way.
How about the people you help out at work, the secretary you gave an address to, someone you provided information to who really needed it for a major project they were working on? Think about how much less stress they have in their lives because you were helpful.
The truth is you have a tremendous impact on people, even if you don't know it.
Just because someone didnt say thank you for your good deed, doesnt mean that you didnt make a difference in his or her life. It just means that they didnt tell you that you did. Your warm thoughts and gestures do more for a person than you will ever know.
So keep doing these good deeds, because everyone once in a while life throws you a reward for good behavior, when a person will come up to you and say remember that thing you did for me, it changed my life.
II. POSITIVE THOUGHTS FROM PEOPLE THAT WE CAN NEVER THANK
Below are writings by people we will never have the opportunity to thank. Although the authors are anonymous, their words are true.
These people have touched us even though they will never see or hear what an impact theyve made in our lives. All it takes is one sentence to make a difference in someone elses life. These writers have accomplished this.
a. Attitude
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude.
Attitude is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, education, money, or circumstances. Attitude is more important than failure or success. It will make or break a business, a church, or a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We get to choose how the day will go, and that choice will make or break our day.
We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can change is our attitude. Life is 10% what happens to us, and 90% how we react to it.

b. Memo From God
To: YOU
From: GOD
Date: TODAY
Subject: YOURSELF
Reference: LIFE
I am God.
Today I will be handling all of your problems. Please remember that I do not need your help.
If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. It will be addressed in my time, not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold on to it.
If you find yourself stuck in traffic, don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.
Should you have a bad day at work, think of the man who has been out of work for years.
Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror, think of the years you lived to earn it.
Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.
Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; remember, things could be worse. You could be just like them.

I got this from Diane DiResta. Diane is a well-known and recognized speaking
coach and author. Diane helps people get past their fears of speaking in front
of groups. Ive taken one of her classes, and am a better speaker because
of her. Even if she does not know this. Diane can be reached at diane@diresta.com
I got engaged this month. My future husband (and editor of this newsletter, Brian Volkman) has been my best friend for 9 1/2 years. It was worth the wait.
My engagement would have never happened unless I believed that it would. I saw many friends get married over the years. I was very happy for them, and never jealous. I just accepted that marriage was not in the cards for me.
I figured that I didnt deserve to get married, or maybe I was destined to a life being alone. I didnt believe that there was someone out there for me.
Once I realized that I was afraid to get intimate with someone, then I knew that the sentence Ill never get married was there because of fear, not because it was the truth. I put it in place so I didnt have to get hurt again.
Your beliefs are very powerful, more powerful than you can imagine. Anything is accomplishable once you believe that you can.
Please believe in the best for yourself and it will occur! If it can happen to me, then it can happen to you.
