I.  IS THIS THE RIGHT TIME TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL?

Part I.

Are you satisfied with your career? Or, do you feel like something is missing? Do you feel that you can be doing more, but not having the right (or enough) education is holding you back? Have you thought about going back to school to advance your career, but there's always a reason why it's not the right time? The right time is the right time when you say it is.

Going back to school can seem like a scary proposition at first. Can I pay for it? Will it be worth the investment? Can I find the time to study and take classes? Many clients I walk through these questions find that their answers are yes. What's really stopping them is they are afraid. Fear is normal. But, don't let fear win. Tackle each one of your questions individually, until you are comfortable taking the next step.

Is going back to school the right move for you? Only you can answer this question for you.

The answer is YES. One of the biggest regrets my clients tell me is they have let their networks go. They got busy with their lives, and their jobs, and friendships and important contacts just slipped away.

Now, they are in trouble. They know the best way to get a job or get ahead in their career is through who they know, but they don't know anyone anymore. They feel frustrated and alone.

Click Here for a downloadable career audio program where I share how social networking can help you find a job, grow your career, or expand your business.

II. FOUR IMPORTANT STEPS TO CONTINUING YOUR EDUCATION

Part II.

Is going back to school the right move for you? Only you can answer this question for you. But, if you feel it in your gut that it is, here are four steps to get there:

1. Believe That You Can Go Back To School

"I want" can take you to great places. Do you "want" to go back to school? Good for you! This a great place to start. Once you say "I want," the rest is implementation. Why do you want to go back to school? Do you want a better job? More money? A promotion? A better life? Hold onto your answer. It will motivate and guide you through the process.

2. "Want" To Go Back To School

3. Get Ready

What do you have to do get ready? Do you need to select the right school? Then, do that. Investigate a few schools and choose the school that feels right for you. Do you need a student loan or do you need to eliminate a few expenses to make room for your investment? Then, do that. Investigate how you can pay for your program. Do you need to clear your schedule or ask your family for support so you have time for your school work? Then, do that. Be specific and ask for what you need. Your goal is to tackle each piece one at a time so you do not get overwhelmed. Getting ready means breaking down your bigger goal into smaller pieces. This makes your goal very doable.

4. Take A Chance

In life we do not always get all of our questions answered 100% up front before we venture into something new. Most times, we get a feeling and we run with it. The answers you are seeking will come as you go through the process. Trust that everything will work out and the logistical pieces will fall into place. Your gut will guide you in the right direction. Remember that you cannot win the race until you enter. And, the decision to enter is up to you.

So, what do you say? You only have one life to live, so it might as well be a life you love.
