We read and hear about the people who are living their career dreams. Are you?

Are You Living Your Career Dreams? If Not, See If One Of These Reasons Ring True For You.

  1. You don't believe you can live your career dreams. Either you believe you can't have a career you love, or you don't believe it can happen to you.
  2. You aren't clear about what career would make you happy, so rather than starting on any career path, you do nothing out of fear of making a mistake.
  3. You don't think you have a career dream. Some people keep their career dreams locked up inside and never see it, or don't allow themselves to find it.
  4. You are afraid of failure, rejection, or being seen as different if you follow the career path you really want. We are all afraid of something. But don't allow your fears to keep you from getting what you want in your career.
  5. You don't believe you can make enough money living your career dreams. This is the biggest obstacle that keeps people doing work that they don't find appealing or exciting. You say, "the work is not that bad," or you're "getting paid a lot," more than you could make being in a career you love.
  6. You think you are destined to live a less than fulfilling career, and as a result, you do not take action towards achieving your career dreams.
  7. You don't think you have the time to live your career dreams. Many people are so caught up in the rush of today's world, that they don't think they have time to add one more thing to do in their career.
  8. You still believe hard work will pay off. I'm not saying don't work hard, but at least put your heart and soul into a career that is meaningful to you.
  9. You don't think you deserve to be happy in your career because so many people are unhappy in their career.
  10. You are not ready. It requires a significant investment in yourself to get your career turned around, and sometimes we are not ready. But, why not look at what's holding you back and reach for the stars?
